Lyndon's Story

My name is Lyndon Thomas, a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge and the son of Desha and Leonard Thomas.  I am an 11 year old 5th grader at Park Medical Academy, a Focus Choice school centered upon the exposure of medical careers partnered with Baton Rouge General.  I am passionate about learning and leadership.  This passion led me to hold the position of 5th Grade Class President.  I take pride in knowing that daily students admire me.  I ensure I make sound decisions that are a direct representation of my parents, grandparents, and school.  In addition, I must be cognizant of my decisions because I have two younger brothers, Bailey and Leonard, that I am paving that way for.

Beyond the confines of excelling within the classroom, I discovered a profound love for music and sports.  I am currently mastering the drums for the Park Medical Academy band.  Also, I am dedicated to be a well-rounded student-athlete as I participate in football, basketball, and baseball.  Consistent commitment to teamwork provides me the opportunity to understand the benefits of working collaboratively with others.  This reflects my commitment not to just learn but to have a significant impact within my community.

As I continue to matriculate through school, I intend to pursue Sports Marketing at either The University of Alabama or Louisiana State University.  It is my goal to return knowledgeable and well established to provide a network of opportunities for my mother's alumni Southern University and A&M College of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
