One class studied a model of the heart to help save the life of a "patient," while another class learned how to create skin grafts to replace burned skin. Those demonstrations were all part of Park Medical Academy's Focus Choice Showcase on Thursday. The showcase allowed students, parents and the community to explore the role of medicine and get hands-on learning in a medical Focus Choice School. Participants were also able to learn about other topics, such as germ detectives, aroma therapy, text structure surgery, DNA traits and infection control.
